October 12, 1949 –  February 7, 2014  SHIRLEY ANN MAYWHITESBORO ? Shirley Ann May, 64, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at her residence in Whitesboro, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. An informal visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at a family home located at 507 North Ave., Whitesboro, Texas.
Shirley was born on October 12, 1949 in Sherman, Texas to Edward Leon and Mary Malinda (Gibson) Gaskins. She was of the Baptist faith. She was employed at several local nursing homes, where she was a LVN for the past 38 years. She was loved by her patients and was a very caring caregiver. She loved her family and always put others before herself. She loved them dearly and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. She also loved and enjoyed her teacup Chihuahua, Little Bit.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Brian May, of Whitesboro; mother, Mary Gaskins, of Whitesboro; sister, Charlotte Foster and husband, Eddy, of Whitesboro; sister, Joyce Jones, of Whitesboro; sister, Darlene Gaskins, of Sadler; brother, Randy Gaskins, of Whitesboro; three grandsons: Matthew May, Christopher May, and Joshua May-McKee of Whitesboro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward L. Gaskins; daughter, Carrie Ann May; and nephew, Kenny Gaskins.
