July 1, 1992 –  October 21, 2010  WHITESBORO- Memorial service for Shauney Patrene Lucas, 18, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Jimmie O. Rector Center in Whitesboro.
Shauney passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 due to an automobile accident.

Shauney was born on July 1, 1992 in Killeen, Texas. She was currently a student at Grayson County College and a 2010 graduate from Whitesboro High School. During her high school years Shauney, was the yearbook editor for 2 years. She was an award winning photographer, winning 2008 Grand Champion in Photography at Loy Lake and she also lettered in power lifting. Shauney played football at Whitesboro Middle School.

Shauney made a recent trip to South Africa, taking many photographs. She owned and operated S.L. Photos. Her first art show was this last Saturday. Shauney was a contributing photographer for Whitesboro News Record. She was employed at Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department . She loved life, music, people, animals and bugs. Shauney loved life and lived her life to the fullest each day.

Survivors include her parents, Ed and Karen Bain of Whitesboro; a sister, Jessica Lucas and her fiancee’ Gabriel Mason of Whitesboro; her boyfriend, Jeff Overton and his parents, Becky and Jeffrey Overton of Gordonville; paternal grandparents, Oran and Gloria Bain of Nelspruit, South Africa; maternal grandfather, John Lucas of Jewitte, Texas; an aunt, Ursula Lucas of England and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Dena Brady; maternal grandmother, Irene Lucas and uncle, John Lucas.
