July 5, 1970 – March 2, 2012 Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7th at Clement-Keel Chapel with Pastor Jerry Elliott officiating, for Shannon Sikes, 41, of Austin. Interment will follow in Era Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 7:00 รข?? 8:00 p.m.
Shannon was born July 5, 1970 in Gainesville, Texas. He had a smile that could light up a room and was a loving son, grandson and brother.
Survivors of Shannon Sikes include his parents, Carolyn and Ronnie Colwell of Gainesville, sister, Misty Colwell of Gainesville, brother, Brandon Colwell of Gainesville; grandmother, Sue Tatum of Whitesboro; biological father and his wife, Frank and Tammy Sikes of Gainesville; step-sisters, Christie Dick of Gainesville and Shawna Shellhorn of Whitesboro; step-brother, Rodney Colwell of Gainesville; half-sisters, Amy Bowers of Little Elm and Kim Black of Gainesville; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Jim Tatum and grandparents, Oscar and Christine Sikes.
Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
