Mrs. Varley passed away July 21, 2010 at her home in Collinsville. She was born on September 11, 1921 to Fred and Leslie (Pearson) Coleman in Henrietta, Texas. Ruth married C.B. Varley on November 6, 1938 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Survivors include two sons; Robert Varley of Grosebeck, Texas and James Varley of Agoura Hills, California; an adopted daughter, Phyliss Petty of Woodbine and 2 granddaughters.
