July 1, 1920 –  January 10, 2013  WHITESBORO ? Graveside services for Ruby Dell (Savage) Reedy were held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Judith Reedy officiating. She passed away on January 10, 2013 at her residence in Whitesboro.Ruby was born on July 1, 1920 to George William and Maddie Tackett (Pfaff) Savage in Sherman, Texas. She was a teacher for the Whitesboro Independent School District for 20 years as well as teaching in other locations. She was a member of the West Grayson Retired Teachers Association as well as a member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro, Texas.
She is survived by her sons: Lee McGehee and wife, Hope, of Gainesville; Rick Reedy and wife, Judith, of Frisco; Randy Reedy and wife, Martha, of Woodlands; and Ron Reedy of Gainesville; daughters: Ruby Weiss of Amarillo; and Rita Bell and husband, Randy, of Lindsay, OK; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, J. W. Savage of Rapid City, SD; sisters: Jessie Ellis of Sherman; Jo Thomas of Lawton, OK; and Jane Cranford of Sadler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett McGehee, who passed away in WWII; husband R. E. Reedy; son-in-law, Lee Weiss; six sisters and one brother.
The family wishes to thank Ruby?s excellent care providers, Jean Smith and Sue Hanning, as well as the fine people of Home Hospice of Grayson County.
