Sorry for your loss. He was a great coach and friend. He will be missed.
A man that had a true passion to mentor and coach young men and women. Kind, loving and encouraging is the way that I would describe him. Always willing to help anyone and would do anything that you needed. Praying for your family for peace, comfort and strength.
Coach Harmon was not only a Coach but an educator, he taught you to do the best with what you have. No fancy tools or gimmicks just blood, sweat, hard work and maybe a few tears. Anyone that he coached,he saw potential in them. He was proud of all us,as we were to have him as our Coach . R.I. P Coach Harmon.
Deepest Sympathy to Pam and her family during this time. Pam you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love Jenn P
Sorry to hear this. Coach Harmon was my P.E. Coach in Anna in the 80s. He gave me a nickname during a game of kickball….”Leaper”. My old friends still know me by that name to this day. He’ll be missed for sure.
I am so sorry for your loss. Coach Harmon was a special man and a great coach/friend to all of his students. Prayers for your family.
This man, Coach Harmon, was such a special person. He was my Coach through Jr High and High School. To say he made an impact on my life would not be enough. He taught me so much and made me a better person for knowing him! He remained a friend throughout my life. I am praying for Zona and his family. Coach Harmon, along with his humor and friendship, will be greatly missed!

Heaven got another great one, coach was a great influence on everyone he came in contact with. He made you want to be the best that you could be, he didn’t just show you how to do something but the why you should and how it does and doesn’t work. Coach you will be greatly missed.
Coach Harmon was not only my coach throughout school, he was like a second father. So many memories of my childhood growing up with Pam and the family. Roy is the definition of a true friend, family man and Coach and always there for all of the above when it counted most.
He is one of Billy Dan’s closest friends in the truest sense.
He stood with and for his family like no other.
Not only in Collinsville, but when I worked in Anna I saw that he was a legend for all his grown students that he coached and mentored.
Many great memories of him and his family, all he and Zona have done selflessly and of course his BOOMING voice Coaching on the sidelines, rooting others on.
Roy & Zona has made so many lives richer, the truest kind of legacy. They are salt of the earth GOOD PEOPLE!!
Zona, Joe and Pam and family you are in my prayers. Coach touched so many lives over the years. Not only was he a coach and teacher, but he showed everyone it was ok to smile and laugh even in times you might not have felt like it. He put long hours in cleaning the gym and working the football field in addition to his actual job, there was no that’s not my job from coach Harmon.
Coach Harmon was such an inspiration to me. He made me feel like I had a special talent in my athletic ability. He pushed me to reach my goals and I will always remember him fondly. He inspired me to reach my goals after high school to continue my running and as a result I was able to run 12 marathons including the Boston marathon. I pray the family have peace and blessings in the life he lived and the legacy he is leaving. Lord bless you.
Coach was a great man he didn’t just teach me about football he taught me about life he looked at us not as just kids but his kids. He will always be in my thoughts I can still hear him hollering dammit Burchett then when I would get closer to the side line he would say do it again
Zona, Joe, Pam and families, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincere sympathy to Zona and all your family. Coach Harmon will always be fondly remembered by the staff and students at Anna Middle School from the 1990’s.

My prayers are with Coach Harmon’s family and friends. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Coach Harmon was always smiling and made you feel like he cared for you and was listening to anything you had to say. He treated you like you were one of his kids, with love and discipline both.
