Rowe Dean “Dizzy” Ellis of Whitesboro was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Dizzy was born in Pernell, Oklahoma in the 30’s to Lois Paul “LP” and Audie Henrietta (King) Ellis.  He graduated from Wilson High School in Wilson, Oklahoma.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army.  Dizzy married Willia Trahan in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  He loved horses, cattle, and his dog.  He was a wonderful husband, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his wife, Willia Mae Ellis of Whitesboro; sister, Barbara Newman of Whitesboro; sister, Patricia Linder and husband, Herbie of Dallas; sister, Carolyn Chisum and husband, James of Whitesboro; sister, Sharron Welch and husband, William of Whitesboro, and brother, Tommy Ellis of Whitesboro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dizzy was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Audie Ellis, sister, Kathryn Daniels, and brother, Paul Wayne Ellis.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Welch, Mike Scotch, Mark Ellis, Andy Stubbs, Jimmy Chisum, and Jeff Butts.

Funeral services honoring Dizzy will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Mike Bentley.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2022 at the funeral home.
