Rosalee Truitt of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 78 years old.
She was born on December 4, 1943 to R.C. and Emma Belle (Davidson) Truitt in Myra, Texas. She was a 1963 graduate of Gainesville High School and worked on several dairies in Cooke County and worked as a cook at the former Frontier Manor. Rosalee worked the last 26 years at Wal Mart in Gainesville in the automotive department.
Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Robert Truitt and sister, Sarah Jane (Truitt) Dotson.
She is survived by her brother, Eddie Truitt of Woodbine, sister, Doris Jean Hilliard and husband, Dave of Sanger, brother-in-law, Clyde Dotson of Collinsville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, VNA Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
Graveside services honoring Rosalee will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Larry Dotson. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
My heart goes out to the family. Ms Rosie was a gem to work with. She was such a hard worker. She touched the lives of so many. She will truly be missed. I love you Rosie.
