Ron passed from this life with his earthly family into life with his heavenly family on Monday, February 8, 2010, at Medical Center of Arlington, after a lengthy illness.

He was born on October 25, 1942 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth to Omar and Nancy (Teague) Wortham. After attending school in Forth Worth he pursued his love of all kinds of music with a career spanning for over 40 years in radio broadcasting and a party dj business. Ron was employed by radio stations, KCAC in Phoenix, Arizona, KVIL and KFJZ in Dallas and Fort Worth.

On August 17, 1982 the Lord led him to the love of his life, Debby Leach. They were married on November 12, 1983 at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church in Forth Worth. Ron designed the Royal Lavulite wedding rings he and Debby wore, with crosses on each side of the band representing their love and their faith in Christ. They were blessed with three children, Summer, Dustin and Micah Wortham. Along with Debby he made the decision to move their family to the small town of Sadler to care for Debbyâ??s grandmother and to raise the children in her home.

Ronâ??s greatest enjoyment was to see people having fun, especially his children. He worked diligently collecting the Wortham family genealogy. He also loved to give and he opened their home to anyone in need. He used this passion in serving as director of the shelter for the homeless in Denison in the 1990â??s. He continued his party dj business â??One More Timeâ? focusing on the big band sound of the 40â??s. After he moved to North Texas the business was later called â??Ace DJâ??sâ? and expanded to include all kinds of music. Ron provided music for many wedding receptions, school and family reunion dances and parties.

When asked recently by his pastor, what he cherished most in life? His answer was simply, Forgiveness.

Survivors include his wife, Debby Wortham; a son, Dustin Wortham; and his mother, Nancy Wortham.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Omar Wortham, and daughter, Summer Wortham and a son, Micah Wortham.

Pallbearers are; Miguel Galaviz, Miguel Galaviz Jr., Richard Morris, Jacob Morris, Ben McMinn and Michael McMinn.
