Collinsville – Funeral services for Roger Franklin Underwood Sr., 71, of Collinsville will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, officiated by Bro. Jerry Davis. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Roger was born on August 1, 1947 in Denison, Texas to Franklin Fletcher and Mary Helen Underwood. He served our country in the United States Air Force and retired from service on July 31, 1986. He married Cynthia Byas on June 14, 1986 in Kennedale, Texas. Roger loved his family, his grandchildren and playing golf.

He is survived by his spouse, Cynthia Underwood of Collinsville, son, Roger F. Underwood Jr, and wife, Jennifer of Collinsville, son, James R. Underwood of Collinsville, daughter Megan C. Denman and husband, Jedediah of San Angelo, brother Greg Underwood and wife, Cindi of Bonham, brother, Billy Mack Underwood and wife, Tena, sister-in-law, Phyllis Underwood of Bonham, brother-in-law, Robert D. Byas of Van Alstyne, brother-in-law, James D. Byas of Dallas, ten grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Mary Underwood, and brother, Larry Underwood.
