October 27, 1934 –  November 29, 2011  GAINESVILLE – Funeral Services for Robert Neal Estes, 77, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Gordonville Church of Christ with Gene Deckard officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
He passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at his residence in Gainesville.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1934 in Gainesville to Aubrey J. Estes, Sr. and Mildred Lee (Greer) Estes. He married Mary Elizabeth Barnett on May 3, 1956 in Gainesville. He was a member of and a Deacon at the Gordonville Church of Christ. He worked 30 years for National Supply/Armco Steel. He was a member of the Sherwood Shores Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 20 years, serving as Assistant Fire Chief.

Survivors include his wife, Mary “Beth” Estes of Gainesville; 2 sons, Michael Estes and wife, Kim of Gainesville and Jon Estes and wife, Angie of Gainesville; 3 daughters, Rebecca Leonard and husband, Mark of Carrollton, Cindy Francis and husband, Bill of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Lora Ridlehuber and husband, Tommy of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, A.J. Estes, Jr. of Aubrey and David Carroll Estes and wife, Vikki of Gainesville; a sister, Margaret Wald of Anderson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a sister, Joyce Malinowsky.

Pallbearers will be Heath Marrow, Tommy Ridlehuber, Matthew Leonard, Austin Estes, Richard Way, David C. Estes and Greg Anderson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Clovis Webb, Chuck Nichols, Jake Anderson and Dennis Deckard.
