December 19, 1931 –  December 13, 2010  GORDONVILLE – Funeral Services for Robert Denton Woolsey, 78, will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Baptist Church in Gordonville, Texas with Rev. Jim Hardwick and Rev. David Woolsey officiating. Interment to follow service in Dixie Cemetery, Dixie, Texas. Family visitation will be December 14 from 7 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Robert Woolsey died on December 13, 2010 in Denton, Texas.
He was born December 19, 1931 to William J. and Dovie L. (Arden) Woolsey in Gunter, Texas. He married Iona Hilliard. He was of the Baptist faith. He served as a firefighter in Gainesville, Texas years ago. He was also an oil field pumper. He is survived by his wife, Iona Hilliard Woolsey of Gordonville, TX; his sons, William Woolsey and wife, Lisa of Gordonville, TX; Roger Woolsey and wife, Joyce of Gordonville, TX; and Phillip Woolsey and wife, Tracy of Gainesville, TX; a daughter, Vickie Colteryahn and husband, Kent of Callisburg, TX; two sisters, Mona Cantrell of Willis, OK; and Margaret Warren of Whitesboro, TX; two brothers, William Glen Woolsey of Myra, TX; and David Woolsey of Whitesboro, TX; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dovie Woolsey; a sister, Betty Steward, and two brothers, Aubrey Woolsey and Otis Woolsey.
Pallbearers are Greg Woolsey, Jace Woolsey, Jeff Threadgill, Phillip Woolsey, Ricky Hilliard and Jack Warren.
