December 22, 1913 –  March 31, 2005  Services for Robert Arthur McWhorter Jr., age 91, will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery directed by Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. There is no scheduled visitation
Mr. McWhorter passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Robert was born December 22, 1913 to R.A. and Eliza Cleveland (Bruce) McWhorter Sr. in the Lovejoy Community. He married Royce Mozelle Sanders on July 29, 1935 in Whitesboro.

Robert was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and a member of Woodmen of The World. Robert farmed until 1941, then moved to Grand Prairie doing aircraft work at North American, Dallas Naval, Lockheed, Temco and L.T.V. He retired in 1974 from L.T.V. Robert moved back to Collinsville in 1973.

Mr. McWhorter is survived by his wife Mozelle McWhorter of Collinsville; Son, Bobby and wife Marilyn of Grand Prairie; Granddaughters Melody Werry and Robbie Farnham; Grandson, Jason McWhorter; 6 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandson; Brother, Herbert McWhorter and Sister, Ella Veach Moran.

He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Patricia Ann McWhorter; Brothers, Wade and J.V. McWhorter and Sister, Faye Blasingame.

Pallbearers are: Jason McWhorter, Kevin Farnham, Kenneth Staford, Billy Don Smith, Andy Norris and Scotty Sanders.
