April 17, 1940 –  March 22, 2011  ARDMORE – Richard John McDonald, was born April 17, 1940 to Avery J. (Mike) and Geraldine M. (Jones) McDonald at Milford, Nebraska. He grew up in Randolph, Nebraska, graduating from Randolph High School. He passed away on March 22, 2011 at his home in Ardmore, OK. He spent the past 40 years as a self-employed Farrier in Nebraska and later in the Oklahoma/Texas area.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert & Roger. He is survived by three sons and spouses, Rick (Kim) of Whitesboro, TX; Randy (Lauri) of Neola, IA; and Ryan (Cara) of Carrollton, TX; three daughters, Rhonda (Bill) Stoneburner of Denton, TX; Roxanne (Bruce) Olson of Genoa, NE; and Renee Dobbs of Ardmore, OK; and several grandchildren; two brothers, Orville of Snyder, NE and Mike of Norfolk, NE; many friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro on Saturday, March 26, from 6 – 8 p.m. with family present. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, at the funeral home, with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
