August 6, 1943 –  November 24, 2012  Funeral services for Rhomelda Ann Snider, 69, of Gordonville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, TX, with Rev. Ken Hildebrand officiating. Burial will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Services are under direction of Hiett?s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.
Rhomelda passed away November 24, 2012, at her home in Gordonville, TX.

Rhomelda Ann Magee Snider was born August 6, 1943, in Burkburnett, TX. She was the daughter of the late Luther Douglas Magee and Mary Frances Findley Magee. During her childhood she lived in Burkburnett and graduated from Burkburnett High School. She married Rodger Snider January 17, 1964, and they lived in Burkburnett until 1965, moving to Arlington to make their home and raise their daughter, Taressa. Rodger joined the military, and for twenty-four years during his career, they were able to live and enjoy many beautiful cities in the United States. Upon Rodger?s retirement, he and Rohmelda moved to the Lake Texoma area to make their home. Family was very important to Rhomelda and she succeeded in her ambition to be a good wife, mother and homemaker. She was an accomplished painter, seamstress and quilter, and enjoyed gifting her quilts to her family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughter, Taressa Groening.

Rhomelda is survived by her husband, Rodger Snider of Gordonville, TX; sister, Dineta McIntire of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Jan Moore and husband Roger of Weatherford, TX; nieces and nephews, Pam Dolberry, Roger Alan Moore, Karen Hiett, Kelli Ammons, Pam Wilson, Robert Snider, Randy Snider and Ryan Snider; and a host of friends.

Family visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX, Tuesday evening from 6:00 ? 7:00 PM.
