October 26, 1941 –  December 25, 2010  WHITESBORO – Funeral Services for Remigio “R. C.” Guerrero, 69, will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Mike Flanagan assisted by Reymundo Guerrero officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.Remigio Chapa Guerrero passed away on December 25, 2010 Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.
“R. C.” was born to Jose and Emilia (Chapa) Guerrero on October 26, 1941 in Mineral, Texas. He married Anita Perez on April 17, 1962 in Floydada, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Chevron after 36 years of service. His family remembers him as a great dad and a man who liked to spend time with his family. He was very active with the Whitesboro FFA. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and like spending time with his dogs. He liked working on old cars. He played the accordion. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Guerrero of Whitesboro, TX; his children, Remigio “Reme” Guerrero, Jr. of Dallas, TX; Elizabeth Guerrero of Gainesville, TX; Christina Guerrero Hamm, and husband, Steven Hamm of Whitesboro, TX; Adam Ray Guerrero, and wife, Linda, of Whitesboro, TX; his grandchildren, Zachary James Guerrero, Adam Bradley Guerrero, and Chelsea Lane Shurbet; and his brothers and sisters, Luciana Birchfield of Pottsboro, TX; Elvira Fielden, and husband, Eugene, of Sherman, TX; Reymundo Guerrero and wife, Narsi, of Graham, TX; Erlinda Housel of Pennsylvania; Reynaldo Guerrero of Abilene, TX; Joe Guerrero and wife, Audrey, of Wiley, TX; Raul Guerrero and wife, Amy, of Sherman, TX; Rudy Guerrero of Dallas, TX, Roger Guerrero and wife, Beth, of Sherman, TX, and Ruben Guerrero of Sherman, TX; Emily Ferguson and husband, Craig, of Denison, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Emilia Guerrero; and two sisters, Lucia Balderas, and Elva Castillo.
