August 14, 1940 –  March 13, 2008  LAKEWOOD VILLAGE â?? Funeral Services for Randle Martin, 67, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. John Carrell and Rev. Walter Leyerle officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Randle passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at his home in Lakewood Village.

He was born August 14, 1940 in Delaware Bend, Texas to Ernest H. and Rena (Baker) Martin. Randle married Twana Elvington on June 8, 1962 in Tioga, Texas. He was a graduate of North Texas State University in Denton and retired in 2000 as Vice-President of Selkirk Mfg. in Dallas after many years of service.

Randle enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and raising cattle. Above all, he loved his family. He was a devoted husband and best friend, an amazing father, and a very special â??granddaddyâ?. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Twana of Lakewood Village, a son, Mark Martin and wife Julie of Frisco, a daughter, Kim Groff and husband Tom of Little Elm, four grandchildren, Garrett and Maci Martin of Frisco and Ryan and Preston Groff of Little Elm, five sisters, Lucille Center of Whitesboro, Ruth Williams of Gainesville, Velma Parker of Fort Worth, Faye Owen of Gainesville and Martha Davidson of Sherman, two brothers, E.W. â??Peteâ? Martin of Abilene and Howard Martin of Lake Kiowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rena Martin, and three brothers, Ernest B. â??Blakeâ? Martin, Robert Martin and Homer Martin.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Martin, Joe Parker, Greg Scoggins, Barry Martin, Ron Matheney and Jerry Weddell.
