July 4, 1923 –  February 5, 2015  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Quentin Oliver Gregory, 91, will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas with Michael George officiating. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation services will be held prior to the services on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 12 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.He died on February 5, 2015 in Denison, Texas.
Quentin was born on July 4, 1923 in Calera, Oklahoma to Oliver Clark and Mae Helen (Ramey) Gregory. He married Adalphna Harville on January 23, 1955 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was a member of the D. Street Church of Christ in Whitesboro. He loved his cattle and his John Deere Tractors. He also loved to play guitar. Quentin could do anything he set his mind to doing. He was an airplane mechanic during his military service in World War II, where he learned to fly. After the war, he became a flight instructor. He loved to travel to Colorado and to Arizona. He enjoyed reading and studying the history of the Oregon Trail. He loved to read his Bible.
He is survived by his wife, Adalphna Gregory, of Whitesboro; sons: Matt Gregory and wife, Laura, from Jacksboro; Mark Gregory and wife, Beth, of Marlow, OK; Glen Gregory and wife, Renee, of Gainesville; daughter, Cheryl Bownds and husband, Sam, of Wichita Falls; grandchildren: Brian Gregory, Callie O’Briant and husband, Mitchell; Emily Prichard and husband, Luke; Kate Gregory, Anthony Krause and wife, Sara; Grant Gregory, Grayson Gregory, and Evan Gregory; six great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Draper, of Denison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Mae Gregory; and his brothers: Harold Gregory, Bus Gregory, and Jimmy Gregory.
The pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews: Anthony Krause, Brian Gregory, Grant Gregory, Grayson Gregory, Luke Prichard, and Mitchell O’Briant.
