March 16, 1949 –  August 27, 2012  Gainesville resident, Perry Dale Jones died Monday, August 27, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton at the age of 63. He was born March 16, 1949 to the late E.J. and Lela Faye Jones in Pilot Point, Texas. He married Linda Joyce Reasor on June 10, 1970 in Valley View. Perry served in the US Marines, earning the ranking of Corporal. He was a pumper in the oilfield, working for Barnes Brothers Oil Company, J.M. Huber Oil Company and L.E. Jones Oil Company. Perry loved deer hunting and fishing and collected arrowheads and Indian artifacts. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30th at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Chaplain Kyle Felker and Rev. Jordan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Brian Jones, Brian Brown, Nicky Jones, Jack Leverett, Jackie Nash and Tony Nash will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Survivors of Perry Dale Jones include his wife, Linda Jones of Gainesville; daughters, Ellen Gonzales and husband, Bee of Gainesville, Alisha Ornelas and husband, Arturo of Gainesville and Melissa Jones of Gainesville; son, Jason Dale Jones and wife, Krystal of Saint Jo; brother, Kenneth Joe Jones of Valley View; sister, Lois Brown and husband, Lannie of Valley View and grandchildren, Tammara, Kathy, Mysterii, Tori, Faith and Kharmen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Otho Wayne Jones and Jimmy Charles Jones.
