April 15, 1931 –  October 28, 2013  PEGGY JEAN MELTONSHERMAN ? Funeral services for Peggy Jean Melton, 82, will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, Texas with Mark King officiating assisted by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment will follow the service at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas. Visitation services will be held Wednesday, October 30, from 7-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2013 in Whitesboro, Texas.
Peggy was born on April 15, 1931 to Roy Mack and Ruth Ellen (Bridges) Melton in Whitesboro, Texas.
She is survived by her siblings: Joe A. Melton and wife, Lydia, of Dallas,TX; Dorothy Slaten, Ann Allred and husband, Doyce, Mac Melton, Linda Clark, and Royce Melton and wife, Linda, all of Whitesboro, TX; Bill Melton and wife, Diana, of Hooks, TX; Wayne Melton and wife, Karen, of Whitesboro, TX; and Jenny Culpepper and husband, Jerry, of Denison, TX; 17 nieces and 8 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Melton; brother, James Edward Melton and wife, Margaret; brother-in-laws: Red Slaten and James Clark; and nephews: Scott Melton and Randy Clark.
Pallbearers will be Mike Allred, Trina Bynum, Jana Kniss, Darla Melton, David Melton, Phillip Melton, and Rick Melton.
