June 5, 1933 –  January 10, 2013  Funeral services for Gainesville resident, Peggy Jane Whitehead (79) will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with Rev. Steve Trout officiating. Steve Lance, Glenn Lance, Steve Odom, Zach McGuire, Tynan McGuire and Buddy Edwards will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in New Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mrs. Whitehead passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Gainesville.
Peggy was born in Charlevoix, Michigan to Curt and Fern (Hutton) Roberts June 5, 1933. She had worked for twenty-five years as a nurses’ aide at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.

Peggy Whitehead is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julia McGuire of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ricky Odom of Whitesboro; sisters, June Fredyl of Detroit, Michigan, Mary Whitehead and husband Glenn of Denison, Ruthie Beaubien of Gainesville and Judy Roberts of Dallas; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carroll Whitehead.
