June 21, 1938 –  May 4, 2010  WHITESBORO – Graveside Services for James Paul Moore, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May, 6, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro with Hank Lovejoy officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m., prior to the service, on Thursday at the funeral home.Paul passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Hilltop Haven Nursing Center in Gunter.
He was born on June 21, 1938 in Grayson County to Ervin and Vernez (Shook) Moore. He attended Whitesboro schools, was retired from the U.S. Navy and was an electrician. Paul was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include a step-brother, Tommy Ivy and wife, Alice, and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vandiver Moore.
