December 20, 1941 –  July 16, 2009  SANGER â?? Funeral Services for Patricia Anne Carpenter, 67, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Nelson Grove Cemetery in Woodbine. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the funeral home.
Patricia passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1941 in Sherman to Elzie Fanning and Eva Mae (Snowden) Fanning. Patricia graduated from Southmayd High School in 1959 and married Floyd Carpenter on July 9, 1960 in Gordonville. She worked for Linda Jo Shoe Factory in Gainesville for many years. Patricia was very active in all her grandchildrenâ??s lives. She was also â??Mamawâ? to all members of the Sanger High School Band, and others, for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda McDaniel and husband, Steven of Sanger, 2 sons, Dewayne Carpenter of Sanger, and Christopher Carpenter and wife, Lisa of Sanger, 9 grandchildren, Tiffany, Samantha, and McKayla McDaniel, Magen, Rebecca, Christina, Kearra, Christopher, and McKayla Carpenter, and a sister, Kay Davis of Pottsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Eva Fanning, her husband, Floyd Carpenter, and 2 brothers, Dee Fanning and Lewis Fanning.
