October 16, 1922 –  October 16, 2016  Ora Mae Headen, age 94, left this world on her birthday, October 16, 2016 and danced through heaven’s gate into the arms of her husband, P.K. (Kaye). She was greeted by her parents, Furman and Pearl Nelson, her siblings, Corene Sappington, Orban and Edgel Nelson and numerous other family members, What a reunion!!
Ora Mae was born October 16, 1922 in Folsom, Oklahoma, where she was raised surrounded by a lot of her “Nelson” relatives in that community. As a young lady, she moved to Tulsa and became a nurse where she met P.K. while caring for his mother. They married, lived in Tulsa and later moved to Dallas until they retired and moved to Lake Kiowa, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22nd at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.

Ora Mae and Kaye never had children of their own and lavished all their love and attention on their nieces and nephews. Those left to keep those memories alive are Linda Kay Rockett of Mesquite, Texas, Laura Lambert of Cato, Arkansas, Gracie Lonis of Chico, California, and Merroll Lupton, Carolyn Skeen, Elaine Abbott, Russell Nelson and Dale Keith Nelson, all of Oklahoma, along with many other cousins and extended family members. The family would like to give special thanks to Bettie Childers, Debra Norwood and Terry Rockett for the wonderful care and love they have given Ora Mae the last two years keeping her at home.
