February 17, 1940 –  March 5, 2016  Gainesville resident Ophelia Irene Meyer, 76, passed away Saturday night, March 5, 2016 at Plano Medical Center. She was born February 17, 1940 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Ernest and Monty Pearl (Stubbs) Wilson. Irene was a seamstress before retiring.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Survivors include her son, Gary E Voglesong and wife, Alicia of Brownwood; daughter, Tina Voglesong of Gainesville; brother, James Wilson of Gainesville; sisters, Ann Putnam of Oklahoma City, Bonniegene Bishop of San Diego and Ruth McGaugh of Denton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Meyer; daughter, Tiffany Meyer; two sisters; two brothers and parents.
