Norma grew up in Gainesville, Texas where she met and married her dearly loved Bobby Maurice Richardson. They lived in several south Louisiana cities until they retired to Austin, Texas. After Bobby left this earth in 2004, Norma returned to Gainesville to live out the rest of her days. She passed away at the age of 87 on March 21st, 2020. She loved gardening, keeping up her home and the companionship of her children and extended family in Gainesville. Norma lived the traditional life of a wife and homemaker but had many surprising talents. She was the first woman to bowl a perfect score in Lafayette, LA, established her own pro shop business and won many women’s bowling tournaments. Her surviving family includes her son, Scott Richardson; daughter Nancy Williams and husband Blair; daughter Lisa Stansbury; granddaughter Sarah Caffey and husband Aaron, and great-granddaughter Piper. Preceded in death by her mother Edna and father Otis J. Cook, and brothers Harold and Duane Cook, and son-in-law Patrick Stansbury.
