December 4, 1939 –  December 31, 2007  NANCY GAYLE KANNADY, age 68, died on December 31, 2007. She was born on December 4, 1939 and was raised in Whitesboro, Texas. After living in Germany, she and her family moved to Houston in 1969. Nancy played the piano at church for many years, most recently at College Park Baptist Church. She also enjoyed her pets and working in her garden. A woman of strong faith, she always placed the care of her children and mother above all else. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Dawn Asher and husband Ross; son, David Kannady and wife Fernanda; aunt, Susan Gill; nieces and nephews: Susan Gill, Beth and Ray Hatcher and their children, Jordan, Cole and Emily, and David and Kay Gill and their daughters, Taylor and Hannah; and cousins, Ed and Pat Hayes and Helen Hayes.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at College Park Baptist Church, 7887 Beechnut. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home, 401 Hwy. 377 N., Whitesboro, Texas 76273 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Additional Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at same Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Hank Lovejoy officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro with local services directed by Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
