August 1, 1922 –  February 18, 2011  SHERMAN – Funeral Services for Minnie Null Evans, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.Minnie passed away on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at the Lighthouse Assisted Living Center in Sherman.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1922 in Hallsburg, Texas to Roy and Dora (Ledbetter) Null. She married Waymon C. Evans on July 6, 1968 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was active in Crutchfield Baptist Church in Sherman and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed painting, sewing, playing piano and singing. She and Waymon also loved to travel in their RV. She loved life, the Lord and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Waymon C. Evans of Sherman; daughters, Kay Clark of Palestine, Robbie Pierce and husband, Gerald of Maydelle; 2 grandsons, Damon Self of Palestine, Jay Campbell of Plantersville; 5 great-grandchildren, Blake Strack, Bryce Strack, Jason Campbell, Tracker Self and Hunter Self; and a brother in law, Harrell Evans and wife, Charlene of Whitesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dora Null; a brother, Dalton Null; and sister in laws, Nadine Null and Onita Evans Hewlett.
The family expresses special thanks to Ruth and Robert Smith and their loving family for the special care given to Minnie at The Lighthouse Assisted Living Center in Sherman.
