February 9, 1948 –  July 23, 2009  AUSTIN รข?? Funeral Services for Melody Ann Haynie, 61, will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Haynie Methodist Chapel in Garfield, Texas with Rev. Lamoin Champ officiating. Interment will follow in Haynie Methodist Chapel Cemetery.
Melody was taken to heaven by her Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Summit Community Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born on Feb. 9, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Walter Haynie and the late Marian Haynie. Melody was a loving, daughter, sister, mother, and Mamaw. She was very professional and was the director for the U.S. Land Corp. in Conroe, Texas for many years. Melody had a winsome, outgoing personality and was always the life of the party. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father, Rev. Walter Haynie, Pastor of Montague County Cowboy Church in Bowie, Texas and his wife, Clara of Nocona Hills, Texas, 2 daughters, Michelle Darby Bowen and husband, Blake of Runaway Bay, Texas, and Mindy Darby Travis and husband, Jeff of Floresville, Texas, 2 grandchildren, Emily Morgan Cude and Chloe Madison Cude of Floresville, Texas, a sister, Deborah K. Haynie of Tyler, Texas, 2 brothers, Mike Haynie and wife, Doris of Whitesboro, Texas, and Mark Haynie and wife, Vicky of Beckville, Texas, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Haynie and grandmother, Lillie Mae Dolby.

Pallbearers are Mike Haynie, Blake Bowen, Jason Haynie, Matthew Haynie, Jeff Travis and Mark Haynie.

Honorary Pallbearer is J.D. Starr.
