November 22, 1934 –  March 13, 2013  WHITESBORO- Funeral services for Maurice M. (Potts) Malone, 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday March 15, 2013 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Jerry Davis and L.V. Phelps officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Malone passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital – WNJ in Sherman.

Maurice was born on November 22, 1934 in Kensing, Texas to Thomas L. and Alma (Moore) Potts. She married Claudell Malone on December 06, 1950 in Childress, Texas. She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church in Whitesboro. Maurice was retired from Texas Instruments and loved to read and travel.

Survivors include her husband, Claudell Malone of Whitesboro; a son, Mark Malone and wife, Lisa of Whitesboro; daughter, Karen Lynch and husband, Gary of Denton; 8 grandchildren, Colton Baugh, Sunny Emery, Jared Lynch, Mark Malone, Jr. , Toby Malone, Stormy Malone, Patrick Jones and Randal Jones; and 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Story of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alma Potts; a daughter, Claudia Jo Baugh; 2 brothers, Jordan Potts and Jerry Potts; 3 sisters, Evelyn Story, Kay Story and Iva Leslie Thomas.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
