May 14, 1926 –  November 3, 2011  FLOWER MOUND â?? Graveside services for Mary L. Stephens, 85, will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with Gary Lower officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be held from 9:00 â?? 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the graveside services.She passed away on November 3, 2011 in Denton, Texas.
Mary Lou Stephens was born May 14, 1926 to Elzie Clarence and Mary Isabell (Coats) Green in Norman, Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist Faith. She worked as a beautician. She worked at the Gainesville State School as well. She loved crafts and quilting. She also loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. She also enjoyed travel.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hicks of Flower Mound, TX; sister, Jacqueline Harris of Belle, MO; grand children; Kenneth Hicks of Lewisville, TX; Jerry Don Hicks of Argyle, TX; five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; two grand-daughters Sue Carrol Mears and Betty Darrel Prestage; and sister-in-law Margaret Reppond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Mary Green; granddaughter, Rhonda Frasier; brothers, Buddy Reppond, H. W. Reppond; and sisters, Ola May Kirkpatrick, Jessie Lee Skinner, and Betty Joe Carbell.
