October 10, 1928 –  October 5, 2004  Mary Jeanine Grimes, age 75, of Collinsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior,October 5, 2004 in Mesquite, TX.
Funeral Services will be 2 P.M., Thursday, October 7, 2004 at First Assembly of God Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Jim Guess officiating. Interment will follow in Dixie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mary was born October 10, 1928 in Denton, Texas to Clifford Birch and Elizabeth Augusta Kirkpatrick.

She married R. W. Grimes on February 4, 1949 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Mary gave her heart to God on April 1, 1962 in Gainesville, TX. She served in all the churches she attended as piano player, singer and sometimes booster band leader. Mary would always have the children kneel at the end of their songs and sing “Come Into My Heart”. Mary’s hobbies were quilting and crafts and her passion in life was helping someone in need.

Mary lived in Collinsville since 1985, Prior to that time she lived in Bloomfield, NM.

Mrs. Grimes is survived by her husband, R. W. Grimes of Collinsville; 2 sons, Michael Shane Grimes and wife Betty of Richland Hills, TX., Johney Grimes and wife Kelly of Whitesboro; 2 daughters, Kaiki Johnson and husband Terry of Mesquite, TX and Carol Griego and husband Luke of Rio Rancho, NM; 2 sisters, Roxie Robbins of Byers, TX and Betty Ralston of Byers, TX.; 3 brothers, Wallace Kirkpatrick of Carrollton, TX, Rotie Kirkpatrick of Marble Falls, TX and Bill Kirkpatrick of Newport Ritchie, FL; 12 Grandchildren, Talina Talbot, Stacey McKenzie, Mariah Grimes, Danny Grimes, Adam Grimes, Mark Grimes, Raquel Griego, Isaiah Griego, Bethany Griego, Lorranie Grimes, Audra Grimes and Amelia Grimes; 7 great grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 2 brothers, Artie Kirkpatrick, Clifford Kirkpatrick and Infant sister June Kirkpatrick.

Pallbearers are: Danny Grimes, Adam Grimes, Luke Griego, Isaiah Griego, Aaron Kirkpatrick and Rick McKenzie.
