Mark Stephen Burkett, 66 of Valley View, Texas passed away on April 4, 2021. He was born on November 2, 1954 in Mission Hills, California to Daniel Burkett and Pearl (Carpenter) Burkett. Mark was employed as a Cal trans worker in Calfornia during his career.
He is survived by his son, Hal Dennis, Jr. and wife, Jillian of Little Elm, Texas; daughters, Shawntae Shellenberger and husband, Russell of Simi Valley, California, Stacey Huff and husband, Jim of Simi Valley, California and Linda Dennis of Simi Valley, California; sisters, Maureen Coscia, Michelle Burkett and Mary Hancock; brother, Vincent Burkett.
Preceded in death: wife, Cherie Burkett; parents Daniel Burkett and Pearl Burkett; brother, Mike Burkett.
I really enjoyed Mark’s company. He was always there to lend a hand. I built Mark’s home in Valley View and he really helped me on many occasions, on days I couldn’t get to the job site, all I had to do was call Mark. We could sit on his front porch and solve just about any problem. Truly sorry for his loss.
