April 19, 1933 –  April 29, 2017  Marilyn Joyce East, 84, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Marietta, Oklahoma. She was born in Rock Island, Illinois on April 19, 1933, the daughter of John and Gladys (Whitehouse) Boynton. Marilyn had worked at Weber (Zodiac) as an assembler. She was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd at Nelson Grove Cemetery with Rev. Wiley Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Survivors include her husband, Loyd East of Woodbine; children, Cecilia Odell and husband, David of Marietta, Melanie Barger and husband Jimmy of Texas, Loyd East, Jr. and wife, Maggie of Telephone, Scot East and wife, Sandi of Gainesville, Cindy Mount and husband, Roger of Rock Island, Illinois and Randy East and wife, Chris of Sherman; brothers-in-law, Alvin Feldhahn of Arizona and Bill Boynton of Illinois; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Tammy Rogers and Tina East; brother, Wayne; sisters, Janice and Lois; and grandsons, Casey Odell and Timothy East Barger.
