November 15, 1916 –  October 12, 2006  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral services for Marcile Marbury, 89, will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. David Cathey officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Marbury passed away Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center.

Marcile was born in Friendship, AR. on November 15, 1916 to James and Edna Lewis. She married Thomas H. Marbury on August 23, 1934 in Arkadelphia, AR. She had worked as a seamstress for Vivian Young at Whitesboro Manufacturing and Lovejoy Cutting. She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Chambers and husband Don of Whitesboro; two daughtersâ??in-law, Remona Marbury of Whitesboro and Sue Marbury of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren, Gina DeFoor of Grand Prairie, Clif Marbury of Arlington, Sgt. 1st. Class Marc Marbury (stationed in Iraq) & wife Susie of Ft. Hood, Lynne Anderson & husband Leroy of Guthrie, OK, Terri Wilson & husband Garland of Aubrey, Christie Hudman & husband Jerry of Whitesboro, Carrie Kress and husband Steve of Aubrey, Donna Eury and husband Steve of Whitesboro , Darla Heflin and husband Wade of Whitesboro; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, William McMillan and wife Bobbie of Arkadelphia, AR; a sister-in-law, Marguriet Toland of Chico, CA; a special niece, Gwen Reynolds and husband Bobby of Graham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Marbury; two sons, Tom and Jim Marbury, four sisters and a brother.

Pallbearers are Jackie Crisp, James Ballard, Alton McConnell, Dempsey Sims, Merrell Dickson and Homer Brookshear.
