August 27, 1920 – July 13, 2016 Mabel (Diehl) Patton was born on August 27, 1920, in Calera, Oklahoma to Walter Joseph Diehl and Arizona (Johnson) Diehl. She passed away at the Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Whitesboro, Texas, on July 13, 2016, with her family by her side. There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, Texas where she enjoyed being a member of the choir. She enjoyed playing golf and loved reading, especially books about things in our history. She loved reading to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, son, Barry Jan Patton and wife, Brenda and daughters, Zona Jo Harmon, and husband, Roy and Wanda Shiew and husband, De Wayne; grandchildren, Robbie Patton and wife, Tonya, Joe Harmon and wife, Tanya, Pam Howard and husband, Jeff, Shelly Anthony and husband, Jon, Melissa Money and husband, Philip, and Linda Mabe; great-grandchildren, Jessica Harmon, Janice Harmon, Jon Howard, Michael Smith, Ashley Smith, Justin Taylor, Chelsey Mabe, Tiffani Patton, and Kristi Patton; great-great grandchildren, Adalynn Harmon, Cayden Taylor, Lilly Noel, Isaac Blake, Alexis Smith and Lennon Emery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Arizona Diehl, husband, L. T. (Cotton) Patton; brothers and sisters, Walter Ray Diehl, John Kitchens Diehl, Kathleen Moses, Scharlyn Camp and Betty Pedding.
