Lucille Marie Reed, 92 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on April 13, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1930, in Marietta, Oklahoma to Emmett Giles and Jewel Howard. Lucille married George W. Reed in Sherman, Texas on March 18, 1964. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Lucille also spent her spare time volunteering as a Foster Grandparent at the State School.
Lucille is survived by her sons; Jack Motsenbocker & wife, Louise, Steve Motsenbocker, Tony Motsenbocker and wife, Rita and Carl Reed; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, George W. Reed; parents, Emmett & Jewel Giles; grandson, Brian Motsenbocker; brothers, James Giles and Bud Giles; sisters, Jessie Southerland and Ruth Shipman.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm at New Resthaven Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.

It has been a privilege to visit Mrs. Reed at Homestead Rest Home. I remember years ago she had so many solar toys on her windowsill. We would talk about those and she would also talk about her family. It was an honor to visit and pray with her. May God grant you His peace at this difficult time and always.
