June 20, 1923 –  October 24, 2012  WHITESBORO ? LOWE L. LEACH passed away October 24, 2012 at his home with his family gathered around him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro, Texas at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Hildebrand and Dr. Don Renshaw officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sadler Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.

Mr. Leach was born June 20, 1923 in Bentonville, Arkansas, 7th of 10 children to Charles M. Leach and Agnes Gertrude (Mauzey) Leach.

He graduated from Texas Wesleyan College and earned a Master of Education degree from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth. He served his country as a Lieutenant jg in the U. S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Hyde APA. He was a cryptologist also serving in the Korean Conflict and was in the Naval Reserve.

He married Inez Hester in Fort Worth on November 26, 1947. Together they raised four daughters there. He was an active member of Englewood Methodist Church and Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Mr. Leach taught high school Math at Trimble Technical high School for 30 years, before retiring to their farm northwest of Sadler in 1978.

He became an active member of the community. He was an associate member of the Sadler United Methodist Church and a current member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. He belonged to Methodist Men, taught Sunday School and served the church in many ways. He belonged to the Kiwanis and Texas Retired Teachers Association.

He loved farming, grafting pecan trees, raising cattle, building barns and fences and remodeling a turn of the century farmhouse, all with his wife, Inez. He was a master at solving mathematical problems and crossword and cryptogram puzzles.

As Uncle Lowe, he dearly loved his extended family, which included many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters and two grandchildren and one son-in-law.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Inez; four daughters: Debby Wortham of Ft. Worth: Patty McMinn and husband, Ben, of Whitesboro; Becky Morris and husband, Rick, of Ft. Worth; Sarah Galaviz and husband, Miguel, of Sadler; one sister, Lucy Hill, of Whitesboro; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
