January 30, 1946 – March 19, 2009 GORDONVILLE รข?? Funeral Services for Linda Chambers, 63, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 23, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Kenny Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the funeral home.
Linda passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.
She was born January 30, 1946 in Pilot Point, Texas to Francis Michael and Grace (Craft) Bridges, Sr. She married Ronald D. Chambers on January 25, 1962 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Linda worked for Boeing Electronics and Texas Instruments as an electronics instructor. She liked to travel and gamble, but above all else, she loved her grandchildren. Linda loved Sunday afternoon dinners and camping in Colorado with her whole family.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald D. Chambers of Gordonville, 3 sons, Ronald Lee and, wife, Pam Chambers of Gordonville, Douglas and, wife, Kathy Chambers of Pilot Point and Grady and, wife, Kim Chambers of Whitesboro, 1 daughter, Sherri and, husband, Gary Bennett of Dorchester, 8 grandchildren, Laura Chambers, Matt Chambers, Garry Chambers, Monty Chambers, Justin Chambers, Gretchen Pelzel, Katie Pelzel, and Ethan Chambers, 2 brothers, Mack Bridges of Pilot Point and Jim Bridges of Collinsville, 2 sisters, Betty Heitzman of Pilot Point and Pat Hall of Pilot Point.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Michael and Grace (Craft) Bridges, Sr. and sister, Judy Daniels.
Pallbearers are Garry Chambers, Matt Chambers, Monty Chambers, Justin Chambers, Mitch Yarbrough, and Rusty Heitzman.
