I am so sorry to hear of Lewis passing. Sending thoughts and prayers to all.
Lewis was a special friend that spent many years working with the Sanford House Time Out program.
that is a great picture of a Lewis. My condolences to his whole family on his passing. We played together as children and sort of grew up together. Then we joined the Air Force and went through basic training together. Loved that guy.
Lewis Cox was my 1st cousin 1 time removed, although I never knew him. His mother was my great aunt and my grandfather moved to the panhandle of Texas in the early 1940s. As a result, I did not have much connection with the family left behind. Among her papers after her death, I found a journal sent to my mother by Lewis’ sister Lucille and I found all of this family history. I am retired US Army. I see that you went to basic with Lewis so I judge you are his age. I wanted to connect with you to see the relationship to him since you both have the same last name. I know from the journal that there was a cox family that lived nearby but to which they were not related. If you can reply to this message maybe we can find a way to connect with each other and share information.
Prayers for the family!!!!
