Graveside services for Leon Miller, 71, will be held Thursday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Cemetery Pavilion with Otis McClain and Leon Veazey officiating. Family visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, from 6 â?? 8 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.He passed away on November 26, 2011 in Denton, Texas.
Leon Miller was born to Frank and Ocia B. (Jones) Miller on March 2, 1940 in Crossroads, Texas. He married Teresa McFerrin on October 18, 1987 in Cooke County, Texas. He was employed as a mechanic, retiring from the University of North Texas after 21 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Miller of Collinsville, TX; sons: Kevin Miller of Hondo, TX and Tony Miller and wife, Becky, of St. Jo, TX; daughters: Gypsi Hall and Kelli King of Collinsville, TX; three sisters: Bertha Hodgkinson and husband, Benton, of Gainesville, TX; Sharon Miller of Denton, TX; and Doris Wilder and husband, Ken, of Lubbock, TX; brother, Cecil Miller of Denton, TX and five grandchildren: Darlene Nickolas, Colton Miller, Danielle Miller, Raeli Hall and Xander Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Ocia B. Miller.
Pallbearers will be Mike Stiffler, Lonnie Pointer, Billy Ray Redfern, Steve Wood, Steve Blankenship and Chad Blankenship.
