–  January 6, 2015  WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Kennith Wayne “Porkey” Waters, 71, will be held Friday, January 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Bro. Buddy Lindsay and Bro. Clarence Jones officiating. Interment will follow the services at Enterprise Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Visitation services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 8, from 6-8 p.m.He died on January 6, 2015 in Whitesboro, Texas.
Kennith was born in Sherman, Texas to Shirl Douglas and Mae Belle (Cody) Waters. He married Donna Snider on February 14, 2005 in Sherman, Texas. He graduated from S & S High School. He was a member of the Southmayd Baptist Church and had most recently attended the Gordonville Baptist Church. He won top sales award in cellular sales, winning top sales awards in the state as well placing No. 2 in national sales. He was a farmer and a cattle rancher. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed time with them. He always attended the monthly Southmayd community dinner. He was also an avid fan of the late John Wayne.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Snider Waters of Whitesboro; son, Bradley Wayne Waters and his wife, Lee, of Sherman; daughter, Brenda Jean Peña and husband, J. Trinidad “Trini”, of Sherman; daughter, Tina Dawn Waters of Sherman; daughter, Diana Bockman and husband, Chris, of Whitesboro; son, Phillip Johnson and wife, Rebecca, of Whitesboro; grandchildren: Michael Waters, Douglas Waters, Jessie Peña, George Peña, Marissa Waters, Kaylin Miller, Logan Bockman, and Jake Bockman; sister, Shirley Waters Smith and husband, Jim, of Boerne; and sister-in-law, Carol Waters of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Mae Waters; brother, Douglas Ray Waters; granddaughter, Jennifer Peña; and grandsons: Chance Waters and Cody Waters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kennith’s lifetime friends and members of the Gordonville Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class.
