January 6, 1949 –  March 17, 2015  Kenneth Wayne “Pops” McConnell, 66, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at his residence in Gainesville. He was born January 6, 1949 to William W. and Geneva L. (Wofford) McConnell in Hoisington, Kansas. Kenneth served in the US Navy and was a construction supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary McConnell of Gainesville; daughters, Kelly Powers and husband David Porter of Gainesville and Sheri Leipsic and husband, Rick of Flower Mound; son, Robert Millsap of Plano; four grandchildren; brothers, Warren “Ervin” McConnell and wife Pat and Warren “Lee” McConnell and wife Margie and sister, Paula Laverne Shelley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Samuel Monroe McConnell.
