March 14, 1946 – November 28, 2009 WHITESBORO รข?? Funeral Services for Kenneth Robert Garrett, 63, will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M., Friday, December 5, 2009 at the funeral home.
Kenneth passed away on November 28, 2009 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born on March 14, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to Ross and Ella Wease (Knox) Garrett. Kenneth served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Lynn Bachus on July 20, 1996 in Temple, Texas. Kenneth loved electronics and the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He had a very strong work ethic and was very skilled. Kenneth was also very tenacious and opinionated. He dearly loved his family and his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Garrett of Whitesboro; a son, Scott Garrett and wife, Tamberlin of Lake Mary, Florida; a stepson, Sean Cameron of Grant City, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Gerry Wilder of Temple, Texas, Nancy Hudson, Beth Ohauf, and Laura Sisk of New Jersey and Karen Rogers of Arizona.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Ella Wease Garrett and a grandson, Taylor Garrett.
Pallbearers are: Shane Wilder, Sean Cameron, Travis Wilder, Ricky Wilson, Kim McLain and Jimmy Alexander.
