December 2, 1944 –  June 24, 2015  Kenneth Gerald Hughes, 70, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his residence in Gainesville. He was born December 2, 1944 in Marietta, Oklahoma to Otto and Audrey (Clifton) Hughes. Kenneth married Martha Cox March 14, 1963 in Gainesville. He loved horses and the cowboy way. Kenneth was a truck driver in the oilfield before retiring. He loved his dog, Sue.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 29th at Mt. Zion Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Martha Hughes of Woodbine; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and June Hughes of Gainesville and a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Hughes and Audrey Newsome.
