Kathleen Victoria Scivally (Kathye), a retiree from Texas Health Resources, passed away unexpectedly in her home Monday, May 23rd, 2022. She leaves us at the age of 77. She entered this world May 7th, 1945, in Zanesville, Ohio. She moved to the Dallas area at an early age. Although a long-time resident of the DFW Metroplex, she spent the last 15 years of her life in Gainesville. Kathye was a firm believer in our lord and savior Jesus Christ, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. She loved her dogs and family fiercely. She identified as an avid casino goer, lover of traveling, and had a vast taste for jewelry and fashion. A beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend, Kathye had a “force to be reckoned with” personality and was greatly loved by all who knew her. She joins the love of her life and husband, Glen Scivally, who passed in December of 2012. She is survived by five children (Selena Paige, Blake, Rick, Jay, and Ryan), nine Grandchildren (Daniel, Jessica, Zachary, April, Everett. Connor, Jacob, Lauren, Leah, Laina and Amanda), and four great grandchildren.
Set your minds on things above, not earthly things.” Colossians 3:2
Although she will be greatly missed, we are celebrating a beautiful life, lived by a wonderful woman. We find comfort in knowing that Kathye is in heaven with our father, which is where she always wanted to be.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 214 S. Denton Street, Gainesville, Texas. Funeral Service will begin at 1:30 pm also at the Church. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, Oklahoma.
