August 2, 1942 –  July 21, 2014  WHITESBORO – Cremation arrangements for Judy Edwards, 71, are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. A private family service will be planned at a later date. She passed away on July 21, 2014 in Sherman, Texas.Judy was born on August 2, 1942 in Pratt, Kansas to James and Elizabeth “Nettie” (Morgan) Lear. She married Leo Edwards, Jr. on August 7, 1960 in Georgia. They were married until his passing in 2013. Judy and Leo loved to travel together from the time they met until he became ill.
She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Simmons and husband, Bubba, of Whitesboro; and Robbin Kenley of Van Alstyne; grandchildren: Jamie Lee Finch; Jessica Pio; and Robert Colt Simmons; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Trudy Deaton and Tom Lear.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leo Edwards, Jr.; parents, James and Nettie Lear; and three brothers.
