Judith Joy Stephens Tipton entered Jesus’ arms October 14, 2025 in Gainesville, TX. Born in 1945 in Carnegie, OK, Judith (Judee/Ju Ju) was the daughter of Orville (Bill) and Ruth Joy Stephens. She grew up in Mountain View, Oklahoma where she graduated high school then received her Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University and Master’s Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 1967 she married Quinton Ray (Tipper) Tipton and a few years later they welcomed their daughter Mika Dawn.

In 2001 Judee and Quinton moved back to Oklahoma where they purchased a farm near Sulphur and joined Hickory Baptist Church.
Judee’s numerous talents and creativity allowed her to leave a legacy of touching lives in a personal way. Whether it be writing the words to her high school fight song or baking cookie bears for special occasions or penning children’s curriculum or singing at various events, Judee brought joy as she served others throughout the entirety of her life.

Quinton and family. I was so sorry to hear about Judee’s passing. I always enjoyed her when attending the various Stephens’ get-togethes. My favorite memory is singing with her in our impromptu quartet. I’m sure she and Jenetta shared a big hug.
Very sorry for your loss
I knew Judee very well while we were students at OSU. She was a young lady who loved the Lord. We were active together in the Baptist Student Union and dated for a period of time. I shall never forget her and the times we shared with one another. God bless Quinton and her family.
