July 28, 1968 –  April 18, 2012  Jon “Ed” Garner,43, of Gainesville passed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Denton Regional Hospital. Jon Ed was born July 28, 1968 to Clarence Garner and Judy Gillihan Norris in Dallas, Texas.
Jon Ed was a big lover of country music. His favorites were Willie and Waylon. His favorite activity was just to go riding, especially his many trips to see Granny and PaPaw in Alabama (Roll Tide). He loved the Texas Rangers.

He is survived by his mother, Judy of Gainesville; three brothers, Marc Garner of Oakland, California, Bick Garner of Rudy, Arkansas and Russell Garner of Dallas; one sister, Rebecca Eberhart of Gainesville and step-father, Bill Norris of Gainesville. John Ed was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, his PaPaw Hershel Gillihan, his Granny Ola Gillihan, his paternal Grandfather John Garner and his paternal Grandmother Minnie Garner.

Jon Ed will be deeply missed by his many other family members and loved ones, but they all know he is walking tall and telling all those waiting for him in the Lord’s kingdom all about it.
