John Paul Bryan, 77 of Lake Kiowa, Texas passed away on May 9, 2023. He was born on April 4, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alvin Roscoe Bryan, Sr. and Beulah Juanita (Barnett) Bryan. John married Nancy Lou Adams Girod on February 14, 1985, in Bethany, Oklahoma. He graduated from high school in Mustang, Oklahoma, spent 1 1/2 years at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, 1 year at Central State, Edmond, Oklahoma and 18 months Electronics Training in Oklahoma City and Biloxi, Mississippi. John was a retired Program Analysist/Electronics Technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. He also was a member of the Air National Guard, E5 and served reserve duty from 1966-1972 in Oklahoma.
John is survived by his wife, Nancy Lou Bryan of Lake Kiowa, Texas; son, David Wade Bryan of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-son, Brent Adam Denwalt of Piedmont, Oklahoma; sister, Mary (Sissy) Alnita Bryan Barnes of Fallbrook, California; grandson, Ethan John Bryan of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Even Raye Bryan of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-grandson, Lane Eric Denwalt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step-granddaughter, Kyndal Paige Denwalt of Piedmont, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by daughter, Amy Gayle Bryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Alvin Roscoe Bryan, Jr. of Batam Island, Indonesia; mother, Beulah Juanita (Barnett) Bryan of Fallbrook, California; father, Alvin Roscoe Bryan, Sr. of Edmond, Oklahoma.

I treasure all the things you taught me. My favorite memories are building a rubber band powered car, an electric motor, and a container to protect an egg from a tower drop. My first video game was a word processor and I still use what it taught me today. I still use many of your hand tools and everytime I hold them I think of you. You are the smartest man I have ever known am I proud to be your son. I love you always.

You will be missed Johnny. I’m glad I got to experience “country boy living” when we’d get to stay with you as kids. My Dad and I sure enjoyed our road trips to Lake Kiowa to stay with you and Nancy.
